How To Donate Food And Other Essentials
Our aim is to provide families and individuals in need with food and essentials to last for seven days. We provide a range of dried and tinned food as well as a selection of fresh fruit & vegetables and dairy items. We also include personal hygiene products and other items such as washing powder. We need non-perishable food (still in date) and household consumables.
The New Forest Basics Bank is dependent on the generosity of our community. Without your help we cannot provide for those in our area who need it. We are grateful for the tremendous support from individuals, community groups, churches, schools, shops and businesses who facilitate donations. Read our list of urgently required items below.
START A NEW DONATION POINT
We would be delighted to welcome more donation points for the New Forest Basics Bank. Please download and display the poster and the list of items we are much in need of.
We would be delighted to receive a photo of your donation point so we can publish this and encourage more donations from our community.
Also, please reach out if it would be helpful for one of our trustees to come and talk to your organisation or community group to raise awareness of the need for and the work of our Food Bank.
DROP DONATIONS AT FOODBANK
We welcome donations at the Food Bank on weekdays between 9.00 am and 2.30 pm. If you have a large quantity (more than four full shopping trolleys), then please contact us in advance.
Please note that any food donated to New Forest Basics Bank which we are unable to distribute to our clients, may be donated by us to another charity or organisation that carries out similar services.
