£10…

would buy... toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, and shower gel for a family of four or if that's too boring how about breakfast for one week for a family of four: a big bottle of milk, a family pack of cereals, two loaves of bread, spread and jam.

£25…

would pay for... ingredients to make banana cakes for all parcels for one week. We use up our left-over bananas and buy sugar, eggs and flour. One of our volunteers bakes every week :) She has already baked more than 5000 banana cakes since she started!

£50…

could... provide enough food & basics for an average family of four for one week. Typical value of a standard family parcel is around 100 pounds. We are grateful that we receive about 50% of it in food donations.

Ways to donate

Donate using the Localgiving website. It is a safe and secure way of donating money to support this local organisation helping local people in need.

REGULAR MONTHLY DONATIONS

You can also make regular monthly donations by way of a Standing Order. Please set up your standing order via online banking or your banking app. Our bank details are: New Forest Basics Bank, HSBC, sort code 40-30-36 and account number 61366823. Please complete a Gift Aid form if you can.

CASH OR CHEQUE

You may bring cash or a cheque to the food bank during our opening hours or post it to us at our office. Please complete a Gift Aid form if you can.  See the Gift Aid section below for more information.

GIFT AID IT

Whether donating using cash, cheque or standing order, please send us a completed Gift Aid form if you are a UK tax payer. This means that we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give from the Inland Revenue. It will not cost you any extra. 

LEGACY GIVING

By leaving a gift in your Will to the New Forest Basics Bank, you can help ensure that individuals and families from our communities don’t go without the basics they need to lead a happy and healthy life.

If you have not already made a Will then you can easily include the Basics Bank when you list the beneficiaries. If you already have a Will, you will need to ask your solicitor to update it.

Donate As You Shop

Sign up for a Give as you Live account, nominate New Forest Basics Bank as your supported charity and start raising money for us when you shop through Give as you Live Online at over 4,000 retailers. Each purchase will automatically generate a donation from the retailer to the New Forest Basics Bank.

Alternatively sign up to easyfundraising with the Basics Bank as your nominated charity and we will receive donations as you shop online. They have over 4,700 retailers signed up for the scheme.
